The Mount Druitt Lions Club are involved in many community service projects in the local community and even the whole of NSW!
Listed below are some of the activites, sponsorships and donations the Mt Druitt Lions Club has made over the past 42 years! Many of these projects are still running thanks to the fantastic support of the local community, other Lions clubs, other volunteer groups and the tireless efforts of our volunteers.
CURRENT MAJOR PROJECTS
PAST MAJOR PROJECTS:
- Tottenham Project 2003 - the club facilitated the donation of more than $20 000 worth of food, equipment and cash to the struggling town of Tottenham during the worst drought in recent history.
RECENT ASSISTANCE GIVEN:
- Sponsorship of two children in the 'Lions Building Bridges' education program in Indonesia
- Sleep Apnoea Testing machine for local resident
- Technical Aid for the Disabled - assistance in purchasing special needs bicycles for 2 local children
- Providing Step and Rail to assist mobility of local child
- Purchasing ramps to enable wheelchair access to vehicle for local resident
